How to register Okta Verify for Multifactor Authentication
Login at https://katmai.okta.com
Download the Okta Verify app for iOS from the Apple App Store or Google Play for Android devices.
If you have not setup Multifactor Authentication:
Select a multifactor authentication method and follow the steps on setting it up. The IT Department recommends that you select Okta Verify for your MFA method (If you have a smart phone). Google Authenticator would be our second choice. Both options require the use of a smart phone. If you are unable to use a smart phone as your MFA method, please contact the IT Department to make alternate arrangements.
Once you have set this up you can click Finish
If you have already setup a Multifactor Authentication method:
1. First login with your previous authentication method. Click on your name in the top right corner, then click "Settings"
2. Select "Edit Profile" to change settings
3. Under Settings, find Extra Verification and click "Setup" next to Okta Verify Mobile App
3. The Set Up Okta Verify screen appears.
4. Select iOS, Android, or Windows to configure Okta Verify for your platform of choice.
5. Click Next to continue with device enrollment. The code scanning screen appears.
6. On your phone or device, open the Okta Verify app.
7. Tap + to add a new account. The camera will start on the app.
8. Scan the QR code on your computer screen using your phone or device. Once the camera identifies the QR code, your device will be enrolled automatically. You will be returned to the Set up multifactor authentication screen on your web browser.
9. When you set up Okta Verify you will have the opportunity to either send a push notification to your phone or enter a code
